Railways, new Frecciarossa from Naples to Verona, Trentino and Oulx: all the news for Campania with the winter timetable
The Trenitalia winter timetable starts on Sunday 12 December, illustrated today in Milan by Luigi Corradi, CEO and general manager of Trenitalia. Several initiatives start from Trenitalia to encourage tourism towards the mountains and encourage the use of the train on weekends.
Among the novelties the return of the Frecciarossa from Naples towards Oulx and Bardonecchia, with stops also in Rome, Florence, Reggio Emilia AV, Milan and Turin and the addition of new Frecciarossa connections without changes to Verona, Trento and Bolzano, with morning departure from Naples.
To facilitate the movements activated new train + bus links all over Italy. In Campania, in particular, the Link Charterhouse, which on Sunday will allow you to reach the Pertosa Caves and the Certosa di Padula from Salerno, the largest in Italy and a Unesco World Heritage Site.
In addition, during the Christmas period, the now famous illuminations of Salerno will be easily accessible with 20 additional rides on holidays.
Finally, the Pompeii link, which connects the railway station to the archaeological site.
An absolute novelty since February is the interchange between Trenitalia and Eav railway services which thanks to the Campania Express offer the possibility of reaching the excavations of Herculaneum, Pompeii and the main towns of the Sorrento peninsula with eight connections per day.
Furthermore, with the train + bus solution, 16 trips a day they will connect the Pompeii station with the Vesuvius National Park.
In terms of intermodality, it is worth noting the possibility of moving between the Central station of Naples, the Beverello pier and the Capodichino airport thanks to the service Alibus by Anm.
