It is on the occasion of the World AIDS Day, limited to December 1 by the World Health Organization (WHO), that the association Fight Aids Monaco visited the Oceanographic Museum of the Principality. this Wednesday.
The association Fight Aids Monaco and its president, Princess Stéphanie, paid tribute this Wednesday, December 1, for the 10th year, to people who have died from HIV.
Eight quilts were deployed on the terrace of the Oceanographic Museum, in the presence of many personalities, such as Camille Gottlieb, members of the Prince’s Government and the National Council, or the Compagnie des Carabiniers du Prince and the Monegasque fire brigade. .
A minute of silence was observed after the deployment, in memory of the victims.
” It’s always very emotional to hear this whole list of names who have died from HIV… It’s a bit of the story of HIV too: discrimination, stigma. The quilts were made to replace a gravestone or a shroud. So as not to forget people just because they died of HIV. The Princess also recalled that the Covid-19 should not forget the spread of AIDS, deploring the lack of knowledge and prevention, especially among the youngest across the world: ” HIV knows no borders: it can affect anyone, everywhere“, She underlined.

In addition to this deployment of quilts, Fight Aids Monaco fights on a daily basis to help and support victims of HIV and their loved ones. An ALTER FOR SELF-ESTEEM parade is organized this Thursday, December 2, at 7 p.m., at the Monaco Boat Service, 8 Quai Antoine 1er. A charity parade, organized for the benefit of the association of Princess Stéphanie, but also of Écoute Cancer Réconfort. Entrance tickets are sold in line at the price of 30 euros.
At the same time, Princess Stéphanie and perfumer Laurent Mazzone have just launched their new creation: the “Princess of Heart” perfume. A fragrance blending scents of rose, iris, white musk and patchouli. The profits from the first 800 bottles will be donated to Fight Aids Monaco.
