Baltic Fleet sailor forged hospital certificate due to a sore knee

Naval hospital.
A sailor serving on a Baltic Fleet ship forged a medical certificate to leave service for 21 days.
Sergei Sorokin, who served in military unit 20963 under a contract, went to the hospital with a complaint of knee pain. In a military hospital (1409 VMKG) he was patched up and at first released from service for 6 days. But the pains persisted. The doctor wrote out a certificate for him, in which he partially released him from duty.
But the sailor wanted to rest. In the column “in need of complete (partial) release from the performance of duties”, he himself, with a black pen, the “full” permission is fatter. “Partially” was emphasized rather sluggishly by the nurse when issuing the certificate on January 25, 2021.
Help got to the command, which immediately noticed that both words were underlined. The proceedings were short-lived. The commander of the ship deliver the sailor to the place of service – to the ship. Sorokin confessed, because he wanted to relax at home, hoping that no one would find out.
The court considered that it was not worth punishing severely. For the first time, he was found guilty of attempted evasion of military service duties and fined 15 thousand rubles. The verdict was delivered by the Baltic Garrison Military Court on July 12, 2021.
But as an alternative, the detention in a house of arrest was considered. However, it was not possible to impose such a punishment, since the court itself established that arrest houses had not been created in Russia.
