Zurich Airport in November with higher traffic volume
Air traffic in Zurich is increasing again. In November, twice as many planes took off and landed in Kloten than in the same month last year.

Air traffic at Zurich Airport increased further in November compared to the previous year. More than twice as many aircraft took off or landed in Kloten as in November last year. At the pre-crisis level, however, a good third of the flight movements are still missing on a monthly basis. Since the beginning of the year, around 112,000 flight movements have been recorded at Zurich Airport.
This means that 2021 is a good 6 percent above the previous year, when the months of January and February were not yet badly affected by the corona pandemic. For comparison: In 2019, 270,000 aircraft had taken off or landed in Zurich by the end of November.
The figures come from the statistics, which are updated daily on the airport website. In this all flights are shown according to instrument flight rules, the so marked IFR traffic. In addition to scheduled traffic, it also includes freight, business and private flights and the number of flight movements does not say anything about the size of the aircraft used and their load factor.
Zurich Airport will publish detailed passenger and traffic figures for November on December 13th.
