VILLENEUVE-LEZ-AVIGNON On the market, buy scarves and hats for the benefit of Alzheimer’s patients
This Thursday, December 2 in the morning, on the Villeneuve market, you can buy the latest creations of the knitters and crocheters of the young association “Aloïs & moi”. The collection has grown considerably during the long confinements: scarves and snoods, but also hats, ponchos, mittens, bags and even pretty pouches for masks..
All these creations are handmade by volunteers from Avignon and the surrounding area. The profits from sales are donated to the “Écoute France Alzheimer” association which helps patients and their caregivers. Latest action funded to date: a Franco-German meeting of patients and their helping spouses during a week of vacation with numerous discussions and adapted activities.
Anne Pujol, the president of “Aloïs & moi”, and her little hands hope to offer them many other leisure activities. To raise more funds, they organize a raffle to win a magnificent woolen plaid made by the knitter Edith. You can buy tickets (which cost € 10) in the market this Thursday.
If you can’t be there, meet on Saturday December 4, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., at D3 (19, boulevard Raspail, in Avignon) for an open house, in the offices of the president, Anne Pujol. It is on this day that the raffle draw will be made. Or come on Thursday, December 16 to La Petite Cuillère in Villeneuve, where Sophie Laffont always warmly welcomes the association.
