The OM runner-up to PSG, Lille and Monaco revive, Bordeaux sinks
This sixteenth day of Ligue 1, played in full on Wednesday, was rich in goals (29 in total in 10 games) and has consequences for the ranking of Ligue 1.
Thanks to their victory in Nantes, the draw in Nice at the Parc and the defeat of Rennes, on their own land, against Lille, OM are the new runners-up for PSG but are 12 points behind (41 to 29).

Angers – Monaco: 1-3
This Monaco was too strong for the SCO. Volland distinguished himself with two assists and the Asemist scorers are Boadu (25th), Diop (45th) and Disasi (73rd). The only goal of the SCO was scored by… Nübel against his camp (55th).
Troyes – Lorient: 2-0
In this poorly classified duel, Troyes made the difference in the first period with goals from Ripart (7th) and Kouamé N’Guessan (34th) and ended a series of four games without a win in L1. The icing on the cake, Troyes doubles Lorient in the standings.
Brest – Saint-Etienne: 1-0
Fifth consecutive victory for Brest, a record for the Breton club in the elite, thanks to a penalty from Romain Faivre (64th). But ASSE would have deserved the point of a draw if its players had not been cursed this evening: Lhéry then Camara found the crossbar in a few seconds, one minute from the end of regulation time.
Strasbourg – Bordeaux: 5-2
And to think that Bordeaux had opened the scoring… But the Strasbourg residents shattered the Bordeaux defense (3-1 at the break) with a double from Ajorque, an excellent Liénard (a goal and an assist) and achievements of Thomasson and Gameiro. Bordeaux scorers are Hwang and Elis.
Metz – Montpellier: 1-3
After two losses in a row, Montpellier returned to victory in a very fine way. Savanier with a Juninhesque free kick launched his team (37th) and Mavidi (45 + 1st) and Wahi (48th) cut the nail. Metz has reduced the gap (De Préville, 70th) but without changing the face of the match.

Lyon – Reims: 1 – 2
Since the start of the season, Lyon has been a victim of its defense. This was still the case this evening. Faes took over Denayer to open the scoring (56th) and Ekitike took advantage of a hand fault from Lopes to score the winning goal in added time (90 + 3rd). Meanwhile, Toko Ekambi had reduced the gap (66th).
Clermont – Lens: 2-2
Led twice to score, the promoted Clermont obtained a valuable point in the fight for maintenance. A point acquired in pain since the Auvergnats played the last five minutes at 10 against 11 after the expedition of Diaby.
Nantes – Marseille: 0-1
A second victory in a row and a second place on the podium. OM scored the only one but of the meeting at the half-hour mark by Gerson. Despite the expulsion of Pallois (32nd), Nantes threatened OM until the end of the game.
Rennes – Lille: 1 – 2
After six games without a win in Ligue 1, LOSC made a very good move in Rennes. By scoring two goals in the first period by Xeka (31st) and Renato Sanches (45th), Lille made the break and Rennes came back too late in the match (Bourigeaud’s goal in the 85th).
PSG – Nice: 0-0
