The average calculated (gross) wage in Lithuania increased less than in Latvia, but more than in Estonia.
The Central Statistical Bureau of Latvia announced that the average monthly earnings before taxes in Latvia in the third quarter of the year increased by 10.4% compared to the same period last year, in Lithuania by 9.9% and in Estonia by 7.8%.
The amount of the average calculated salary in Lithuania is not comparable with the other two Baltic States, as in 2019, wages in Lithuania have been indexed due to changes in taxes that have taken effect, with the consolidation of taxes related to earnings on the employee side.
In July-September this year, the average calculated monthly salary in Lithuania was 1,598 Eur, in Estonia – 1,553 Eur, in Latvia – 1,280 Eur.
