STUDIO Art theater of the premiere of Dorota Masłowska’s “Bowie in Warsaw” in 2021. Monodrama “Taurus” based on a text by Szczepan Twardoch, first premiere in 2022.
The year 2021 STUDIO with the world premiere of “Bowie in Warsaw” (Saturday, December 18, 2021), a stage crime novel directed by Marcin Liber. Based on the legendary visit of David Bowie to Warsaw, a text by Dorota Masłowska to a multi-threaded story about Warsaw in the 1970s, shaken by rumors of a marauding strangler. The soundtrack will be composed by the musicians of the Błoto quartet from Wrocław, whose improvised music fits perfectly into an abstract story set in the realities of the Polish People’s Republic. On stage we will see: Dominika Biernat, Monika Obar, Maja Pankiewicz (guest appearance), Marcin Pempuś, Bartosz Porczyk (guest appearance), Sonia Roszczuk, Natalia Rybicka, Rob Wasiewicz, Krzysztof Zarzecki, Marta Zięba and Ewelina Żak. The Błoto band will perform live in the performances of 19-21, 26-30 December. The theater also invites you to a show on New Year’s Eve.
The play will be published in book circulation in book form in the form produced in 2022.
On St. Nicholas’ Day, STUDIO invites you to the premiere concert of the album “LIVE” by the unique singer Ewa Bem (December 6), who is celebrating the 50th anniversary of her artistic work this year. The artist will be accompanied by: Andrzej Jagodziński (piano, arrangements), Robert Majewski (trumpet), Adam Cegielski (double bass), Czesław “Mały” Bartkowski (drums). The concert will be hosted by Mariusz Szczygieł.

Flood” on the stage of the National Stary Theater in Krakow (December 7); “Transformations” directed by Michał Borczuch at the Ludowy Theater (December 9), co-production of STUDIO with Teatr Polski in Bydgoszcz, Teatr Łaźnia Nowa and Festival Mała Boska Komedia and “Snow” directed by Bartosz Szydłowski, production of Łaźnia Nowa Theater in co-production with Gdańsk Shakespeare Theater, STUDIO Teatrgaleria and Teatr Śląski im. On the hundredth anniversary of Tadeusz Różewicz’s birth, we invite you to the book’s premiere “Różewicz. Reconstruction (Volume 1) ” (published by Dowody na Istnienie) and a meeting with the author Magdalena Grochowska, hosted by Magdalena Grzebałkowska and Michał Nogaś. Fragments of the book will be read by: Irena Jun, Ewa Błaszczyk, Karolina Gruszka, Tomasz Kot and Jan Wieteska (5 December). The new year STUDIO will begin broadcasting Jules Massenet’s “Cinderella” (1 2022) and rehearsals on the monodrama by Szczepan Twardoch. “Taurus” (premiere: March 18, 2022) to the first text for the theater, written by the authors of the best-selling novels, including “Król”, “Morphine”, “Drach”. Twardoch in an uncompromising style, we create a portrait of a man in crisis played by Robert Talarczyk.
OPEN STUDIOS with Ernestyna Orlowska
As part of the Open Studios project, visual artist, performer and theater director Ernestyna Orłowska (born in Poland, lives and works for influence) will talk in her performative practice, in which she refers to something rare and acting as a cultural construct. During the presentation at the STUDIO Gallery, the artist will share her experiences on the control level (December 14). Subscriptions to the artist’s offline studio @textile_reincarnation, which will take place on December 14 and 15, are open until December 3. Presentation and workshops in English.
The exhibition “Tomasz Ciecierski: What do the paintings want?” do January 16
The exhibition in the studio shows Ciecierski’s works both in the 70th century and in the years and early in the style of work to Tomasz, in order to reap the benefits of reaping the results and drawing from the Studio Gallery Collection. The works can be viewed until January 16, 2022.
