Vlado Buckovski is the new old negotiator with Bulgaria
It is continued the mandate of Vlado Buckovski as a special representative of the Macedonian government for Bulgaria. This was revealed by Nova Makedonija newspaper.
The mandate of Prof. Vlado Buckovski expired today, December 1. The decision to extend his powers was taken at a government meeting.
It’s Vlado Buckovski former Macedonian prime minister. He was appointed special supervisor of the government in Skopje for Bulgaria exactly one year ago – on December 1, 2020. His task is to negotiate an agreement with Bulgaria on the disputes over language and common history, so that the low Bulgarian veto on the start of negotiations on accession of Northern Macedonia to the union.

Vlado Buckovski was Prime Minister of Defense in the broad-minded cabinet of Prime Minister Ljubco Georgievski from May 13 to November 26, 2001. From November 1, 2002 to December 2004, Buckovski re-entered the government as Minister of Defense. He was Prime Minister of the PCM from 15 December 2004 to 26 August 2006. He is a lawyer by education.
