Transport Online – Public Prosecution Service Northern Netherlands for the time being the procedure placement of two people in residence and quarantine
GRONINGEN – The Public Prosecution Service Northern Netherlands outlines the current procedure that has been followed for the placement of two people in isolation and quarantine in the University Medical Center Groningen, location Beatrixoord in Haren.
Forced isolation takes place in the ward of a hospital placed by the Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport. In the first instance, this is the University Medical Center Groningen, location Beatrixoord in Haren, for all infectious diseases.
The two are currently in a closed department there, based on a decision by the chairman of the Kennemerland security region.
The step-by-step plan to come to an explanation is described here. This includes the actions and activities of the various actors, such as the public prosecutor of the security region, the public prosecutor and the implementation. Part of this is the public prosecutor’s details of the procedure.
There is a difference between isolation and quarantine. Isolation is performed in a ward of a designated hospital (the only one closed in the Netherlands) and is only for people who have been diagnosed with an infectious disease.
Quarantine is possible at any location placed by the chairman of the security region and is for people who are suspected of suffering from an infectious disease with a (presumably) infected person.
Contrary to reports by some media, there is no question of an upcoming quick trial. As mentioned, the Public Prosecution Service in the Northern Netherlands is currently studying the procedure followed for the placement of two people in isolation at the University Medical Center Groningen, location Beatrixoord in Haren.
On the basis of this, this public prosecutor’s office will be closed at the Northern Netherlands court, a request for an authorization to continue the isolation is stated. This is a special administrative task of the Public Prosecution Service Northern Netherlands within the framework of the Public Health Act.
The Public North Netherlands has issued a decision to provide quarantine and a decision to test isolation.
