The bigger it is, the more it’s acceptable. This antiphon serinated a century ago by Victor Lustig – the crook who sold the… Eiffel Tower! -, these two 18 year old girls took it back to their account, Monday, November 29, 2021. Their target: a supermarket in the Purpan district.
Clothing and cosmetics
Their plan held in three points. First stage, fill a shopping cart as if it were a charitable fundraiser intended to cover the annual needs of the Restos du cœur. In this case, clothes and cosmetic products.
Second step, go to a decentralized staff fund, and remove the band which obstructs the passage to clear it casually.
A basket at 2140 euros
They did not have time to implement the third (and last) step: leaving the shopping arcade at the speed of Bordeaux-Paris. They are kept at the quayside in Toulouse, intercepted by security who observes their little merry-go-round from its beginnings.
the cart contained 2140 euros worth of products, including 1,800 euros of clothing. “And 10 euros of food”, grimaces a police source. The two suspected thieves were brought back to the police station to be placed there in jail. How on earth would Lustig have gotten out of this?
