Toulouse: new mobilization of library staff against the health pass
A new mobilization against the health pass in libraries is scheduled for Wednesday morning. In Toulouse, a rally will take place in front of the José Cabanis media library from 10 am.
At the call of several unions, and in particular Sud Culture and Sud Territorial Collectivities, a new rally against the health pass in libraries will take place this Wednesday at 10 a.m. in front of the José Cabanis media library in Toulouse. Staff are also invited to strike. Objective: “denounced an arbitrary measure which first impacts the most fragile audiences. “
“Welcoming everyone without discrimination”
“The demands are the same as at the rally on November 10. We are mobilizing against the health pass for both staff and users, explains Mari-Jo, trade unionist at South local authorities. We welcome everyone without discrimination so that all public services are accessible without conditions, as well as the recruitment of staff to ensure health measures. “
Another stumbling block for the unions: “the lack of control of the health pass in university and research libraries (BnF, Bpi …)”, which “makes the situation incomprehensible”.
Launched on the Change.org site, a petition “For a library accessible to all”, over 16,000 signatures.
