These rules apply from Wednesday 1st December
It has been certain since Monday: From December 1, the rules of the Corona warning level 2 will apply in the Hanover region with drastic restrictions for living together, including in the private sector. Warning level 2 comes into force because on Monday for the fifth day in a row the seven-day incidence of hospital admissions in Lower Saxony was above the limit value of 6 and at the same time the incidence of new infections was well above 100.
Roughly speaking, this means that the 2-G plus rule applies almost everywhere. Only those who have been fully vaccinated or have recovered have access. As a tightening, a negative test result will be added as a further requirement from Wednesday. The Hanover region confirmed warning level 2 on Monday by means of a general ruling with effect from December 1. You can find out what you have to pay attention to in particular from Wednesday here:
2-G-plus applies – also vaccinated or recovered plus a negative test result. Who must also submit the test now?
Always all adults. Only children and adolescents under the age of 18 are exempt from the obligation to test, as it is assumed that they will be tested regularly in kindergarten and school. In principle, 2-G-plus does not gold-plate for them. But here, too, there is an exception: The exemption for under 18s does not apply in discos, clubs, shisha bars and similar establishments.
Which test do I have to present?
The self-test at home is not enough. You must have an up-to-date PCR test plus evidence from the laboratory that is 48 hours or less old. A rapid antigen test (PoC) with evidence from a rapid test center not more than 24 hours ago is also sufficient. Alternatively, a self-test is also possible, which is carried out on site under supervision.
Are there also exceptions to the vaccination certificate for 2-G-plus?
Children and adolescents under the age of 18 do not need proof of vaccination; they are generally exempt from 2-G-plus. Anyone who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons must submit a medical certificate to prove that the test is negative.
Prove recovered & that with a positive PCR test that is older than 28 days and not older than six months. If the infection was more than six months ago, vaccination is required. This is possible from four weeks after the illness.
Applies to private parties?
In principle, there are no restrictions on the number of people or the number of households for private celebrations. For meetings with more than 25 people, the contact details are noted, and a mask is required.
Warning level 2 is now tightened: From 15 people in the interior, 2-G-plus including FFP2 mask requirement applies. Children under six years of age do not need masks, under 14 years of age an everyday mask is sufficient. For outdoor celebrations, 2G gold-plated.
What do I have to consider before going to a restaurant and in a café?
In general, a mask must be worn indoors, except at the seat (children are also excluded from this). Restaurateurs register when and the contact details of their guests and also have a hygiene concept ready. In warning level 2, 2-G-plus now also applies. In addition, guests must wear an FFP2 mask (except for children and adolescents under the age of 18, for whom surgical or everyday masks are sufficient).
Christmas markets take place in the fresh air – are the rules less strict here?
No. It gilds – unless you just stroll across the site without lingering in the booths – from warning level 2 the 2-G-plus rule. In addition, when & Christmas market visitors wear an FFP2 mask. It may only be taken down for eating and drinking.
Under what conditions can I go to the hairdresser, nail salon, massage or physiotherapy?
The 2-G-plus rule also applies to so-called body-friendly services from Wednesday. An FFP2 mask is also required. The only exceptions from 2-G-plus are blood donations and medically necessary services, such as those prescribed by the family doctor. Basically, as before: mask and distance requirements, documentation of contact details and hygiene concept.
Was gold in discos, clubs and shisha bars?
So far, when & the contact details of the guests are electronically documented, the occupancy rate has been halved, and in addition to 2G there is a mask requirement (except when eating and drinking). From Wednesday, 2G will become 2-G-plus. An FFP2 mask must also be worn. Outside there is 2G and an FFP2 mask requirement.
Under what conditions is sport still possible?
In all sports facilities including fitness studios, climbing halls, swimming pools and fun pools, thermal baths and saunas, 2-G-plus applies from Wednesday. An FFP2 mask must also be worn in showers and changing rooms – just not when doing sports or while sitting. 2G gold-plated in the open air. In addition, the following applies as before: distance obligation, insofar as sport permits; it must be ventilated regularly; a hygiene concept must be in place and the contact details must be documented.
What about the cinema, theater, concerts and the zoo?
For cinemas, theaters and other cultural events of all kinds with 15 to 1000 participants, but also for casinos, zoos and amusement parks, the following applies from Wednesday: An FFP2 mask must be worn on the seat. In addition, only those who have recovered and who have been vaccinated come in with a negative test (2-G-plus). In the outdoor area of the zoo, 2G gold-plated.
Does that also apply to going to church?
No. In this case, it is only necessary to wear a mask up to the seat.
Do stricter rules now also apply in the supermarket?
No. Everything stays the same in retail and weekly markets. A medical mask (OP or FFP2 mask) must be worn in the supermarket. Distance and hygiene rules apply. There is no mask requirement at weekly markets – only the request to wear masks voluntarily. There, too, you have to keep your distance.
Was gold in hotels and hostels?
As before, when & guests store their contact details, wear a mask and keep their distances. Companies need a hygiene concept. What is new from Wednesday: The guests must be fully vaccinated or have recovered and also present a negative test result on arrival. After that, the test must be repeated every two days. This also applies to business travelers.
