After 30 years at the helm of the Salzburg ÖAMTC, Erich Lobensommer will be replaced by its deputy Martina Schlegel-Lanz on December 1st. The company announced this in a broadcast on Tuesday.
When Erich Lobensommer (65) says goodbye after three years as ÖAMTC boss in retirement, he can show an impressive record: Since he took office in 1991, the number of members in Salzburg has increased from 50,000 to more than 130,000. The number of employees quickly tripled from 60 to 175 during this period. With the increasing number of members, the network of support centers has also been continuously expanded.

Martina Schlegel-Lanz (47) will take over the management from December. Born in Upper Austria, she is married and has two sons. Schlegel-Lanz has been head of the legal department at ÖAMTC Salzburg for ten years, and has also been Erich Lobensommer’s deputy for eight years and is therefore very familiar with all club agendas.
“I am very grateful to Erich Lobensommer for the good cooperation on an equal footing. Right from the start, it was important to him to pass on his enormous knowledge and know-how and myself, that makes a good handover possible, ”emphasizes Schlegel-Lanz. “It is important to me that all forms of mobility have their place and that the polarizations between the different groups are defused through objectivity and mutual understanding.”
Michael Kocher (40) is the new deputy at Schlegel-Lanz’s side. Born in Lungau, he has been heading the department for technical innovations and training at the ÖAMTC Salzburg for a year.
