A 40-year-old hospital employee announced that he would kill a doctor before jumping from the fourth floor in the parking garage of the Salzburg State Hospital.
The police are currently investigating a tragic and unusual criminal case against a 40-year-old hospital employee for attempted murder. According to a police broadcast, last Friday, November 26th, the 40-year-old had announced to a woman that he wanted a doctor from the Salzburg regional hospital “for reasons of personal jealousy”; afterwards, he further said to the woman, he wanted to commit suicide.
After the woman had alerted the police, a patrol discovered the car and the 40-year-old in it in the LKH parking garage. When the man saw the police die, he immediately jumped out of the car and rushed over the railing on the fourth floor of the parking garage. The seriously injured person received emergency medical care. He actually had two knives with him – these were secured. In a later letter found by police officers, the 40-year-old had also stated his intentions to commit murder and suicide. According to the police press office, the seriously injured person is currently unable to be questioned. The Salzburg public prosecutor’s office is investigating him on suspicion of attempted murder.
