Salzburg is planning faster processes for up to eleven wind farms in the state
No reallocation necessary and pre-checked for environmental compatibility: wind power should have priority in certain areas. Now it is the turn of the congregations.
25 wind turbines by 2030. This is what the state councilors Heinrich Schellhorn (Greens) and Josef Schwaiger (ÖVP) have planned. The fact that there is no wind farm in Salzburg to date has failed due to resistance from the population, most recently in Lungau. After the failure, the congregations there decided to take a ten-year “breather” on the subject.
