Russia in September fell to third place in oil exports to the United States
MOSCOW, Nov 30 – PRIME. Russia in September dropped to third place in the ranking of suppliers of oil and petroleum products to the United States, having delivered 18,887 million barrels, according to data from the Energy Information Administration of the US Department of Energy (EIA).
Over the month, supplies of oil and oil products from Russia to the United States decreased by 23%. The first place is still occupied by Canada, whose supplies in September decreased by 2%, to 128,313 million barrels. Mexico came in second with 24,424 million barrels delivered in the month, up 10% from August. The fourth place is kept by Saudi Arabia, which supplied 16 395 million barrels to the United States against 14 599 million last month.
In terms of oil supplies, Russia remained in fourth place in September, having reduced imports by 35.1%, to 6.254 million barrels. Canada is still in first place, its oil supplies to the United States fell by 0.4%, to 113 368 million barrels. The second place is occupied by Mexico (20.139 million barrels, an increase of 6.8%), the third – by Saudi Arabia (increased supplies by 33%, to 14.736 million barrels).
In general, imports of oil and petroleum products in the United States in September increased by 2.5% – to 8,931 million barrels per day, while exports – decreased by 12%, to 7.807 million barrels per day. Imports of oil alone in the United States in the reporting month increased by 4.6% – to 6.526 million barrels per day, exports – decreased by 11%, to 2.667 million per day.
