Davos – SCL Tiger 1: 6
The SCL Tigers lost 9 of the last 10 games. In the guest appearance at the favored Davos, however, the Emmentaler defied all omens and lit a veritable fireworks display in the middle third. League top scorer Jesper Olofsson heralds this with a double in the half of the game. The Swede scored goals 20 and 21 of the season in the majority and shortly afterwards with a numerical equal number. A little later, Davos’ Enzo Corvi received a 5-minute penalty. The Langnauer take advantage of this with no less than 3 further hits. All 5 hit fields within 8 minutes. There was no catching up, Olofsson made half a dozen with his hat trick in the 52nd minute. Axel Simic prevented Robert Mayer’s first season shutout 2 minutes before the end.
Zug – Ambri 3: 4
ZSC Lions – Friborg-Gottéron 5: 4 nP
Like Ambri, the ZSC Lions also returned the favor at Leader Friboug-Gottéron for a defeat: just 24 hours after the annoying 3: 4 bankruptcy in the penalty shootout, the Zurich team won the second direct duel in the shootout. Justin Azevedo was the only one able to use his penalty and secured the additional point for the ZSC. The two teams played another competitive game in which the ZSC took an early 1-0 lead. But then Freiburg took the lead and was in the meantime with 2: 1, 3: 2 and 4: 3 in the front. However, the people of Zurich were always able to react and in the end, at the decisive moment, they even got the upper hand.
Lausanne 2-0 Ajoie
Ajoie has not yet won a single win after 60 minutes away from home. That won’t change on Tuesday either. Against Lausanne it was already the 20th loss of the season. Despite the weakest power play in the league, Lausanne took the lead thanks to Martin Gernat (8th minute) in the majority. Inspired by this, the home side only gave Ajoie a real chance in the middle third. Ajoie didn’t use any of them, and so Guillaume Maillard increased to 2-0 in the 26th minute. As a result, Ajoie could be happy not to be even higher back. The hoped-for race to catch up did not materialize in the last third either. While Lausanne is still in the middle of the table, bottom Ajoie lost for the fourth time away to zero.
Lugano – Geneva 3-0
There was no more than post and crossbar shots in a hard-fought game between two teams that remained below expectations in the first 40 minutes. Lugano played with a focus on speed and combat and thus largely kept control of the action. Only late field, then the goals: Daniel Carr was concerned with a double strike in the 48th and 52nd minute for the decision in favor of the Ticino. Troy Josephs’ Empty-Netter sealed the defeat of Geneva, who lost further contact with the bottom line.
