Elisabeth Toll, Kungl. The Court States
In recent years, Prince Daniel’s Fellowship has become an important player in Sweden with a focus on young people.
On November 29, Sweden’s Prince Daniel visited together with inspirers from Prince Daniel’s Fellowship Botkyrka city to talk about entrepreneurship with high school students and visit Subtopia.
Prince Daniel and those from his friendship heard an inspiring lecture on the Tumba stage. Representatives from Prince Daniel’s Fellowship were Gunilla von Platen, Jessica Löfström and Adam Aljaraidah.
It was students from several high schools, including Skyttbrink, Tullinge, Tumba and S: t Botvid who gathered to participate in discussions – led by Leo Razzak – between His Royal Highness and the community representatives. Afterwards, the students could participate in a small roundtable discussion in Tumba Gymnasium with Prince Daniel.
Lunch was held at the company Bosphorus and Prinsen and the inspirers talked to representatives from Botkyrka municipality and the companies Bosohorus, Miljonbemanning, Fogutek and DeLaval about entrepreneurship.
In the afternoon, the group moved on to Subtopia, a group of companies and organizations working in the art and creative industries. When they were there, they learned about the business and got a tour. The visit ended with the Prince and the inspirers meeting representatives from charities who provided insight into their activities.
According to the Royal Court, “Prince Daniel Fellowship aims to inspire young people to become entrepreneurs and to support a number of companies through mentorship. Prince Daniel Fellowship has gathered a group of successful entrepreneurs and business leaders in an expert council that visits colleges, universities and colleges in Sweden to inspire young people and tell about their experiences as entrepreneurs. ”
This project is a long-term collaboration between Prince Daniel and King Carl XVI Gustaf, and the Academy of Engineering Sciences; it was launched in January 2013.
