The Nikolaus visit can also take place today in lockdown – as reported. However, strict rules such as 3-G and FFP2 mask requirements apply, the state of Salzburg announced in a broadcast.
There should also be bright children’s eyes on the traditional St. Nicholas visit during the lockdown. However, for the safety of everyone and due to the still high number of corona infections and overloaded hospitals, the rules are strong. “The regional association of homeland associations, the archdiocese and the state’s lawyers have developed measures to enable St. Nicholas to come to the families despite exit restrictions,” said Deputy Governor Heinrich Schellhorn (Greens) in a broadcast on Tuesday.
The precautionary measures at a glance
