City rating: The best cell phone network in Munich
The trend continues: if Telefónica / O2 was still in third place two years ago at its own company headquarters, the provider took second place in Munich last year and is ahead of Vodafone.
This year it is enough for the prestigious overall victory in the Bavarian metropolis. The battle takes place at the highest level – the grade “outstanding” for all three providers is not found in any other large city in our comparison.
Incidentally, this shows that in addition to the honor question for Telefónica, the Bavarian capital also enjoys the highest priority for the other two providers – an extremely wealthy clientele lives there permanently.

All three opponents are exactly on par in the language category with a very high score. In crowdsourcing, Vodafone takes the lead – while local hero Telefónica and Telekom are only one point apart.
Again, it should be noted that crowd analyzes not only depict the performance of the networks, but also the preferences of customers in terms of tariff and device.

This is how the close race in the data category is decided. Here, too, the performance of all three networks is at a very high level. But Telefónica / O2 can work out a clear lead over its opponents in this discipline in both the drive and the walk tests.

The analysis of the “quality of broadband coverage” per “evaluation area” shown on the map shows an overall balanced picture. In the old town and Maxvorstadt, Telefónica is ahead, as is in parts of Hadern, Perlach, Berg am Laim and Felchmoching. Telekom performs strongly in Ludwigvorstadt, Obergiesing, Trudering, Schwabing and Moosach, for example. Vodafone domains include Bogenhausen, Obermenzing, Sendling, Neuhausen, Milbertshofen and Aubing / Lochhausen.
