Aurélie Cabrel signs a pretty Christmas story
After having published a musical tale (“Zélie the pirate”), Aurélie Cabrel is back in the youth department of your bookstores with her new book “The Christmas effect”. This is a Christmas tale published in the form of an advent book: twenty-four chapters to read with children while they wait for Christmas Eve.
You are undoubtedly familiar with the principle of advent calendars. From December 1st until December 24th, you will receive a little something every day: chocolate, little surprises, beauty products, beers, etc. The versions for adults and children are endless. Today, we wanted to present you with a slightly special advent calendar: in book form! Aurélie Cabrel and her friend Fanny Dupin have published and self-published (on Baboo Music) a lovely Christmas story entitled “The Christmas effect”.
This extraordinary story takes place exactly 3154 km from Paris, 14 967 from Sydney and 8101 from San Francisco, far, very far in the Northern Hemisphere in Lapland, in the city of Rovaniemi, in the heart of the Christmas kingdom! To celebrate their 200 years of marriage, Father and Mother Christmas decide to go on vacation to the South Pole during the month of December. “Promised, we’ll be home by December 23“they say to the Christmas elves who are going to have to prepare all the Christmas presents on their own. And these little elves are going to have a hard time because everything is not going to go exactly as usual … Pendant that Mother and Father Christmas taking it easy in floral shirts and drinking cocktails, unexpected things will happen in Rovaniemi: Christmas green and red will turn into pink and blue, the center of gravity will be reversed (preventing reindeer from fly!) and the list of well-behaved children will be mixed up with that of unwise children … Who distributes the gifts ?!
Will the elves save Christmas? Find out by reading the 24 chapters of this lovely tale full of Christmas humor and magic.
