An estimated two and a half million crowns burned during a house fire near Prague
The scale of the fire required the announcement of a second-degree fire alarm and the occupation of reinforcements: flames engulfed almost the entire house. They spread mainly in the attic and in the sandwich masonry, reminded the spokeswoman of Central Bohemian firefighters Tereza Fliegerová.
“Firefighters in breathing equipment used three water jets and altitude equipment,” she said to put out the fire. According to her, it was possible to get the fire under control so that it would not spread further in less than two hours. Flieger reminded that it was also necessary to request an anti-gas car from the Benešov station: to add spare bottles to the appropriate devices.
A Mercedes was on fire in Pařížská Street. The arsonist stood right next to him, himself on fire
“The units then followed up on finding and extinguishing hidden hearths, which was also helped by a pressure relief fan, which they used to ventilate the building. In another hour and a half, the fire was completely eliminated and the intervening firefighters began to return to their bases, “the spokesman explained the next step.
Why it started burning remains under investigation. Experts from TÚPO – Technical Institute of Fire Protection in Prague will also take part in it.
