A volume on Hungarian space research was published entitled Hungary and Space
“If we shut down space-based equipment today, the collapse of the world economy and our societies. Communication, navigation, meteorology, earth observation without unimaginable space activity. Space assets are already part of critical infrastructure, so protecting them is a vital task. Mankind will greatly enhance space activity. The goal is for Hungary to continue to play a meaningful role in this process, as it has done since the dawn of space exploration, “writes Orsolya Ferencz, Minister of Space Research, in the earliest text of the recently published publication.
The volume, published with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, was prepared for almost three years under the leadership of Tamás Simon, editor-in-chief.
Its creators undertook no less important task than to present the most important applications of space research and space activities up-to-date, all through Hungarian spectacles – the Hungarian Astronautical Society (MANT) sent a report to MTI.
The richly illustrated publication covers a wide range of topics, from human spaceflight to the research of the Solar System and the peak performance of the Hungarian space industry to a wide range of space applications.
The special feature of this volume is that websites with more detailed professional background information are linked to each page pair. These background pages can be accessed directly using QR codes that can be read from the pages of the book.
