Vlad Turcanu, nominated for the position of General Manager of the Company “Teleradio-Moldova” – Ziarul de Garda
The journalist Vlad Țurcanu, former presidential adviser, is proposed to the Parliament for the position of general director of the “Teleradio-Moldova” Company.
The information was confirmed for Ziarul de Garda by Vlad Țurcanu.
In November 2020, Vlad Turcanu left the ranks of the National Unity Party (PUN) and retired from politics. He held the position of First Vice-President of PUN.
From August 2019 to December 2019, Vlad Țurcanu held the position of president of the Romanian People’s Party (PPR), the former Liberal Reform Party. He announced that he was leaving the party, not agreeing with the intention of his party colleagues to form a common bloc with several declared unionist parties, including the Liberal Party.
On behalf of PPR, Țurcanu ran for mayor of the capital and accumulated 0.81% of the votes of voters.
Vlad Țurcanu was, for four years, an adviser and spokesman for President Nicolae Timofti, from April 19, 2012 to January 21, 2016. Țurcanu is known for his work as a journalist. Previously, he was a member of the Audiovisual Coordinating Board, and in 2009 he was director of development of the media program of the American IREX Institute, USAID.
