USK won mainly thanks to the rebounds, in which they clearly defeated the opponent 53:29. With twenty-five rebounds in the attack, the Prague team broke the previous record of Fenerbahce Istanbul, whose players collected six less against Girona.
In the beginning, the Czech champions got Jones in the lead 9: 2 after six points. Thanks to the emphasis under both baskets, they developed an eight-point lead and only on the rebounds did the opponents jump 18: 7 in the first quarter. Eleven bouncing balls were under the basket of Venice.
In the second part, although the visiting players approached by a difference of two points, USK continued to dominate the rebounds and thanks to fast breaks next to the half of 43:31. The main star was Jones, who already had 17 points and 10 double doubles in the first half. The ten-point María Conde was also visible. Anderson kept Venice in the game with 14 points.
Coach Natálie Hejková’s charges broke after a break in development and others hit Conde and Jones thanks to a lead. During the third quarter, they exceeded the previous maximum of Fenerbahce by the jubilee twentieth offensive rebound and 22 points ahead of the final quarter. The Italian team did not endanger the Prague team at the end. Although Hejková also gave space to the players from the benches, they won by 35 points after another string.
The Czech champions succeeded against Venice in their third match and again with a difference of more than 26 points. In the next round, USK will welcome Montpellier next week and will want to return the initial defeat in every 74:75.
