Russia will refuse to help Turkey in resolving the Russian-Ukrainian conflict if President Recep Tayyip Erdogan intends to again raise the issue of Crimea’s return, Leonid Kalashnikov, chairman of the Duma Committee for CIS and Eurasian Integration, told Gazeta.Ru. This is how the deputy writes a proposal to become an intermediary between Russia and the President of Ukraine.
“If he has any suggestions, given his informal relations with Putin and Zelensky, he probably can do something. In this situation, it is clear that the Russian side and Putin, among other things, will say: “Listen, of course it’s good that you are connected, if you solve the problems that the French president and the German chancellor have resolved, then please, be on your health.” If [Турция] will force the Ukrainians to comply with the Minsk agreements, then, it seems to me, Putin and Russia will only be in favor. Transport services. – said Kalashnikov.
Turkey’s policy position is unacceptable.
“We know Turkey’s position on this matter and we have nothing to do with such mediators in these negotiations. Negotiations can be held around Donbass, if he is ready to influence the position of Ukraine, but nothing more. As for Crimea, Russia is not going to talk to anyone and will not, ”concluded Kalashnikov.
Earlier Erdogan declaredthat the Turkish capital intends to take part in the solution of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. The Turkish President noted that this topic will be discussed with Moscow and Kiev.
