Pierre Oliver replaces Etienne Blanc as president of the right-wing group on the city council

The mayor of the 2nd arrondissement of Lyon, Pierre Oliver was appointed president of the Right, Center and Independents group at the city council on Monday, November 29.
After the withdrawal of Etienne Blanc for his proposals “revisionists“, it is finally Pierre Oliver who inherits the presidency of the Right, Center and Independents group. He took office on Monday, November 29, during the Lyon city council.

To ensure his new function, the mayor of the 2nd arrondissement of Lyon will be replaced by two vice-presidents, Romain Billard and Laurence Croizier. The first will be specifically responsible for the political line of the group while the second will ensure the articulation between the City and the Metropolis of Lyon.
The precise press release that “all the municipal councilors wished to reaffirm their cohesion and their willingness to work in the service of Lyon and the Lyonnais”.

Françoise Blanc, dean of the group, is therefore stepping down as interim president. The 74-year-old city councilor, who is also elected health delegate in the 6th arrondissement of Lyon, played her role as president for nearly a month.
