Nataša Bučar reappointed director of the Slovenian Film Center
LJUBLJANA: The Government of the Republic of Slovenia has reappointed Nataša Bučar for a new five-year term as director Slovenian Film Center (SFC) at its 104th session on Friday, November 26, 2021.
“In the coming years, I will strive to strengthen the recognition of Slovenian film in the international arena. The recovery of the film sector after the COVID-19 period will be one of the major challenges,” Bučar told FNE. Bučar has extensive experience in the field of management and the film industry. She led Slovenian Film Center since December 2016. She has gained managerial experience as a director 12 Slovenian Film Festival, as Deputy Director of the SFC and also as Director General of the Media Directorate at the Ministry of Culture of Slovenia. Prior to that, she worked as a marketing expert in art cinema Kinodvor and she also led for a few years Ljubljana IFF, the largest international film festival in Slovenia.
