Man in Lichtenberg insulted and spat on: Racist attack in Berlin documented on Twitter – police find woman – Berlin
It is an unbearable moment that was captured here for the public: The Lichtenberger Balogun Adegbayi has on Friday posted a video on Twitter, which shows how he is racially insulted and spat at by a woman. He writes about it: “I experienced that today in Lichtenberg, Berlin police would be able to report it here or it would not help.”
As the Berlin police wrote in a message on Monday lunchtime, the suspects could be identified. “The aggressive woman could be identified as a 38-year-old. SHE is already known to the police for similar offenses. She is now responsible for her behavior.”
“I’ve seen such racist anger attacks many times”
Many people expressed their support for Adegbayi and advised him to report it. The police tweeted that they had transmitted the video to the state security. Also Adegbayi with his lawyer, after consultation, report. The 32-year-old reported to the Tagesspiegel who happened that day.
“I’ve seen racist anger attacks like this many times,” he says on the phone. “Often I am not believed, or I am told that it is not so bad. Also from the police. This time I thought I would take it on my cell phone.”
Adegbayi had just been walking around with his child on this Friday afternoon, November 26th, when he heard a voice: “What are you doing in my country, you monkey!” First of all, he did not respond, but the woman carried on. He asked if she needed help. The woman had become even angrier. “What are you talking to me anyway?” She screamed.
When he filmed her, she insulted him even more
Adegbayi reports that she has never seen the woman before. When he filmed her, she insulted him even more. SHE finally walks through the door of the Lichtenberg Adult Education Center, but comes back again to racist abuse and spit on Adegbayi again. “You cripple, you Kanake, fuck off here,” the woman called among other things.
Adegbayi says he tried to smile. But that made the woman even more aggressive. “When I experience something like that and then tell it, people often say: yes and?” That’s why he decided to film. So that people die to see it. And his video is spreading rapidly on Twitter on Friday. “I didn’t expect so many reactions,” says Adegbayi.

Adegbayi was born in Nigeria and has lived in Germany for seven years, works as a credit advisor and currently lives in Lichtenberg. What bothers him most about the racist incident is that his one-year-old child was there. “Unfortunately I’m already used to something like that, my son not yet.”
