In Toulouse, the “CBC” cybersecurity fair brings together 700 professional visitors
The third edition of the Cyber Security Business Convention (CBC) reached record attendance making the event “the” flagship meeting for cybersecurity professionals in Occitanie.
Last week, the business digital cybersecurity fair became the first cybersecurity meeting in Occitania. With nearly 700 visitors (680), 70 exhibitors and partners, more than ten round tables and workshops with twenty speakers on Cyber Security Business Convention (CBC) organized by Dépêche Events was full on Tuesday 23 November 2021.
It should be remembered that computer attacks have become the number one threat for businesses. Several business leaders have also testified to the major risks that this threat poses to the functioning and viability of their business.
60% of companies attacked go bankrupt in six months
Laurent Verdier, in charge of awareness for the Cybermalveillance.gouv.fr platform managed by the State, recalled that 60% of companies go bankrupt within six months of a cyber attack.
Loss of customer files, encryption of accounts or invoices, disappearance of files … a cyber attack is often fatal as the impact is irremediable. At the show, 70 exhibitors highlighted their protection solutions, often intended for very small businesses and SMEs which, after large groups, are becoming the primary target of hackers. “The cost of protection must be compared with the value to be protected” recalled Caroline de Rubiana, cybersecurity officer at Cyber’occ during a round table. The next edition Radio-Canada will take place in 2022.
