1,027,091 citizens of the Republic of Moldova have obtained Romanian citizenship in the last 11 years. The data belong to the Ministry of Justice in Bucharest and were made public by Valeriu Munteanu, former Minister of Environment in Chisinau.
Munteanu specified that these data do not include the citizens of the Republic of Moldova who regained their Romanian citizenship between 1991 – 2009, but also the several hundred thousand whose problems are pending, transmits infoprut.ro.
In the same context, referring to the population of the Republic of Moldova, the quoted source found that from 2010 to 2021, about 40 percent of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova received Romanian citizenship.
“According to a (official) recent information received by Lucian Nicolae Bode, then (and) interim Minister of Justice, in the period 01 01 2010 – 05 11 2021, 1,027,091 people (of which 746,695 adults and 280,396 minors of the Republic) Moldova they received Romanian citizenship.
