IMF calculates Ukraine’s losses after the launch of Nord Stream-2
The International Monetary Fund has calculated Ukraine’s annual losses from the launch of the Russian Nord Stream-2 project. The fund estimates that Ukraine’s revenues by 2024 will fall to at least $ 1.2 billion due to lower gas transit through the Ukrainian GTS.

Among other things, the IMF expects that in 2021 Ukraine will receive 40% less income from gas transit than before. After the launch of PP-2, it lost the country to continue to grow until it includes all $ 1.2 billion by 2024 – while in the last five years, Ukraine has received an average of 2.5 billion years a year thanks to Russian gas.
Earlier it was reported that Russia could decide on the necessary certification of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline and launch without it. In this case, the operator usually closes the fine, but compared to the project, it looks very baggy.
