The Salzburg virologist Richard Greil recommends a fourth corona vaccination. At least high-risk patients should talk to their doctors about this.
The infectiologist Richard Greil from the University Hospital Salzburg advises risk patients to have a fourth corona vaccination. “We recently had a lot of immunocompromised patients on our Covid wards,” said the primary of the “Kronen newspaper“(Sunday edition). Many of them are vaccinated, but only develop low levels of antibodies because of drugs that die, which weaken their immune systems.
Greil: Fourth vaccination for high-risk patients
This affects, for example, patients after an organ transplant or with leukemia. These people should speak to a doctor about the need for a fourth vaccination. In addition, it is important for this group of patients that they strictly adhere to the lockdown. You should also be cautious about contacts within the family and “avoid contact with small children because the infection rate is extremely high there at the moment”.
