Football / Ligue 1. Monaco tops / flops
The hights
1. The penalty scored Ludovic Ajorque on return from the locker room. The Reunionese had suffered the fault – of his former teammate Youssouf Fofana on a masked pass from Adrien Thomasson – and took his responsibilities to transform the offering and bring the two teams back to equality. This is Ludovic Ajorque’s fifth goal in five matches at Louis II, all with Racing.
2. The Cinquanteaine of Racing supporters who made the trip this Sunday to the Louis II stadium. The UB90s had decided to boycott this match because of the reception conditions defined by AS Monaco, but had invited Racing fans to visit the Principality on a personal basis. And they were right: in addition to witnessing a fair draw, they were able to enjoy an almost spring sweetness.
The flops
1. The penalty caused by Alexandre djiku. In the fight with Kevin Volland, the Ghanaian international hung the left arm of the German striker in the box (43rd). He had a handsome protester, Mr. Gautier did not hesitate to indicate the point of penalty. Just before the return to the locker room when the score was 0-0, the blow is inevitably hard to take. This is the second penalty caused by Alexander Djiku this season, after his foul at La Meinau on Lille’s Weah.
2. The whistles of the Monegasque public at the final whistle. Their team, however, showed an irreproachable state of mind to strive until the end to snatch the three points of victory, three days after securing first place in their group in the Europa League by beating Real Sociedad ( 2-1) after a big physical challenge.
