RIGA, 28 Nov – Sputnik. While the crisis with migrants on the border of Belarus is gaining momentum, the country’s authorities intend to resume bus routes Minsk – Riga and Minsk – Warsaw. The state enterprise “Minsktrans” even names the terms – buses from Minsk to Riga will start running from December 16, 2021. And from December 22, the flight on the Minsk-Warsaw system will resume. The first bus departed from Grodno to Warsaw today, November 28. According to some reports, this decision is associated with an increase in demand during the Christmas and New Year holidays. At the moment, there is no direct air or rail transport from Latvia and Poland to Belarus, so bus routes will not only simplify the movement of Belarusians, but also significantly save money. It is known that buses in the city of Minsk – Riga will run on Thursdays and Sundays at 9.40, in the opposite direction buses will run on Fridays and Mondays, departure at 8.50 am.
