WHO will WHAT at Red-Green-Red in Berlin? – BZ Berlin
WHO gets WHAT for WHOM? Only on Monday do Giffey, Jarasch and Lederer want to partially answer the distribution question for red-green-red. The allocation of departments and posts is discussed everywhere, but only negotiated in a very small group.
Who gets how much power? According to BZ information, soon-mayor Franziska Giffey (43, SPD) insists on a visible distance to the second-placed Greens. Also 4–3–3 senator posts for the SPD, Greens, Left.
Thus, the loser in the election on the left is not fobbed off with just two posts, because there are ten departments to distribute in addition to the ruler.
SPD: Franziska Giffey has a problem with women
Two men are the all-rounders around Giffey. Andreas Geisel (55), who will remain a Senator for the Interior, but can also be a Senator for Construction (he was before).
An all-rounder in the SPD pool: Torsten Schneider (52). The lawyer is conceivable with finance, internal affairs, construction – but actually he does not want to be in the front row. Hotly traded women’s names? So far, none.
Which departments are likely to end up in the SPD? Urban development, interior, school, economy.
Possible newcomers to the SPD? Michael Biel (40) from Schöneberg, but more as a State Secretary. Severin Fischer (38) from Neukölln as head of the Senate Chancellery in the Rotes Rathaus. He was a close confidante of Giffey in the Family Department.
GREEN: Bettina Jarasch and too many Kreuzbergers
At the federal level, the Greens could not get hold of the transport department (went to the FDP), in Berlin they are sure of transport / climate / environment. Party leader and cannabis approval champion Werner Graf (41) from the green stronghold of Kreuzberg is interested in the chief position there.
His critics urge ex-top candidate Bettina Jarasch (53) to take on the prestigious position herself. Jarasch is toying with science / health.
And the third Green post? The important finance department changes from the SPD to the Ökos. The only conceivable candidate from Berlin would be Daniel Wesener (46), like Graf also Kreuzberger – both of them do not go out of party propriety. The previous Justice Senator Dirk Behrendt (50) seems to be out of the running for a Senate post.
LEFT: Klaus Lederer distributed Pattex
Ex-top candidate Klaus Lederer (47) will head the cultural department. And Social / Labor Senator Elke Breitenbach (60) should continue at least until halfway through.
What if the justice department ends up on the left? Berlin solutions would be the MP Sebastian Schluesselburg (38) and the ex-member of the Bundestag Halina Wawzyniak (48).
