VIDEO: Take a look at Stalin’s memoir. Repairs slowly con
The area in front of the former Stalin monument is one of the cult cities where young people in particular meet. You skaters like him. The city has now repaired the stairs, which were in a state of disrepair.
A static report in 2019 said that some cities were critically damaged and needed reconstruction. That was the interior of Stalin’s memory. There were struts, said Jan Chabr, councilor for the property of the capital of Prague.
The city had to insulate the interiors where it arrested, for example, a very damaged staircase. The most damaged was the dominant staircase, which connects the area around the pendulum with the main park path Letenské sk. Local repairs were made on the next staircase, which follows the road, said Radovan Borlovan, head of the land in the capital of Prague.
The individual steps of the stairs were in good construction and technical condition, they were also handcuffed. The base was modified, new waterproofing was provided so that it would not enter the underground spaces. The stone elements were laid to measure and added so that there was a safe movement here, said Borlovan.
At the arrest of the interior of the monument is the grounds of the Stalin Cultural Center, which operates a summer leisure cultural scene. In the middle, you can see the ruined pedestal of the former monument, which weighed 30,000 tons, it was really a mastodon, and when the monument was built, the Soviets put an emphasis on making the building stronger and could not become sabotage. Also, the various parameters of the construction were oversized, said Chabr.
The rest of the space is free, but unfortunately the technical condition does not allow this space to be used in any way, for example for a bar.
The city spent ten million crowns on the repairs to the stairs, of which six and a half million spent on repairs to the stairs and waterproofing. The remaining pensions were used by the city to reinforce the interior of the monument to prevent it from collapsing.
The upper monument of Prague was concluded two years ago, when it began to threaten that the construction of the building would fail. Static tests and men then showed that the structure is in good condition, not expected.
