‘Security’ shopping from Metro Istanbul General Manager
Arrangement at TÜYAP At the stand opened at the Eurasia Rail Fair, the new technologies of Metro Istanbul were introduced. At the fair, a panel called ‘Smart Public Transport Solutions’ was held, moderated by Özgür Soy, General Manager of Metro Istanbul. IMM Head of Transportation Department Utku Cihan, IMM Rail System Department Head Pelin Alpkin, Integral Operators Association President Feyz Gündoğdu and International Public Transport Association and Services Senior Kaan Yıldızgöz are also discussed in the panel. Metro Istanbul General Özgür Soy panel gave educated information about the attacker in the metro.
“WE HAVE THE HIGHEST SAFETY STANDARD IN PUBLIC TRANSPORT”
Özgür Soy “It is an event of many things. Something similar to events like this. Violence against women is a reality in Turkey and it is very much. Because the subway is safe, people are entering by planes. Where aviation is safe and inspected, public transport is highlighted. Today, there are no security checks and metal detectors at an entrance in streetbuses and trams. For example, Marmaray is again a metro system. There is no security check at Marmaray entrances, but we have metal detectors at our entrances. Like this model, it was put to dress up like bombshells. You can’t ride at the airport with a liquid or stick a rasp in bile. We do not search in the subways. Like I said, we’re doing it to plan their big security. We don’t stop people, have their bags open, wait for minutes and go through X-rays. We have a metal detector. Our identifier that will pose a risk with a metal detector. We have the highest standards along public transport routes, as are our standards for ourselves. But it will be expected from a plane, it is not true,” he said.
“THEY MIX IT WITH AIRPORT STANDARDS”
Özgür Soy “Metal control control is a control. People are there for metals. And they do not help their planes with their planes to reach their standards. It is missing from the belt. There is an extra subway that is not available in public transportation in Europe and Turkey.
