Munich (dpa / lby) – In twelve districts and cities in Bavaria particularly affected by Corona, public life has largely been shut down. The district of Deggendorf was added on Saturday. There the incidence was again above the 1000 mark on Friday.
If the number of new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week is more than 1000, districts and cities are rated as regional hotspots. If a municipality skips the value, the stronger regulations apply on the following day. The basis is the figures published by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). Public life will then be shut down in large areas. Gastronomy and accommodation facilities of all art, sports and cultural facilities must close, leisure, sport and cultural events are prohibited. Universities & switch to digital teaching.
Schools and daycare centers remain open, as do retail – but there is a tightened restriction: one person per 20 square meters. Unlike originally planned, hairdressers are also allowed to remain open. An exception also applies to competitions OR training of professional and competitive athletes. Most of the regions are located in the south-east of Bavaria.
