Three days after losing the Champions League, BVB rehabilitated on Saturday with a 3-1 (1-1) win at VfL Wolfsburg. The Munich team will play against Arminia Bielefeld in the evening. In the Rhenish derby, 1. FC Köln beat Borussia Mönchengladbach by a clear 4: 1 (0: 0). The game with the highest number of goals came from the bottom of the table, SpVgg Greuther Fürth, at 3: 6 (1: 2) against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. Bayern conqueror FC Augsburg saved a 1: 1 (0: 1) at Hertha BSC in Berlin in the last second.
3-1 in Wolfsburg: Haaland scores in BVB comeback
Erling Haaland was injured for more than a month. Borussia Dortmund’s top scorer only took eight minutes to score again on his short-term, quick comeback. In the deserved 3: 1 (2: 1) victory of BVB at VfL Wolfsburg, the Norwegian scored the third goal shortly after being substituted on (80th minute) – 50th in the Bundesliga in the 50th game. So no player has reached this mark quickly.
The Dortmund team didn’t even need their sorely missed striker to catch up the early 0: 1 with a chest goal from Wout Weghorst (2nd). A penalty from Emre Can (35th) and a long-range shot by Donyell Malen (55th) did it in front of 13,281 fans before Haaland was substituted on. The 21-year-old then came into play for painting in the 72nd minute to the great cheers. Due to a stubborn hip flexor injury, he last played for BVB in the Champions League on October 19.
Derby victory before 50,000: 1. FC Köln beats Gladbach in front of a sold out house
Frenetic derby cheers on sold-out stands: In perhaps the last Bundesliga game for months in front of fans, 1. FC Köln celebrated one of its rare derby successes against Borussia Mönchengladbach. With the 4: 1 (0: 0) the Cologne team drew level with the Rhenish rival and feared opponent, both are in the middle of the table with 18 points after 13 games.
The Austrian Dejan Ljubicic (55th) with his first goal in the German Bundesliga, Joker Mark Uth (77th), Ondrej Duda (78th) and the substitute Sebastian Andersson (90th + 3) scored the highest Cologne derby victory since 1996 (4-0) out. Jonas Hofmann (74th) had initiated a turbulent final quarter of an hour with the equalization. The Cologne health department had allowed the controversial backdrop of 50,000 fans, but after a short-term order to wear it on the square.
TSG Hoffenheim wins crazy goal party – negative record for Greuther Fürth
In a wild shooting competition, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim inflicted the next brutal negative record on the unfortunate SpVgg Greuther Fürth. The defensively embarrassing Franconian climber conceded his eleventh defeat in a spectacular 3: 6 (1: 2) – no other club had been so unsuccessful before.
Stefan Leitl experienced a memorable rollercoaster of emotions in a boisterous 100th competitive game as a “clover leaf” coach. Even in the 23rd attempt overall, the Fürthern failed to win at home in the Bundesliga. The Hoffenheim team are now involved in the fight for an international starting place with 20 points after 13 match days. The Fürth with their confused defense have 19 points less and are hopeless bottom of the table.
Jamie Leweling even put the Franks in the lead in the 22nd minute in front of just 3,385 fans. The offensive force of the Hoffenheimers by Ihlas Bebou (32nd, 62nd, 80th) and Georginio Rutter (40th, 57th) was too powerful. Timothy Tillman (46th) and Branimir Hrgota (67th) with their goals again provide quiet hope for Fürth, but team-mate Marco Meyerhöfer (66th) has now scored in their own goal.

Draw in the last second: FC Augsburg saves point at Hertha BSC
Bayern conqueror FC Augsburg prevented a defeat at Hertha BSC with a goal in the last second and extended the winless series of the Berliners. In the seventh minute of stoppage time, substitute Michael Gregoritsch scored the goal to make it 1: 1 (0: 1). Until then, the Herthaners had looked like the sure winner thanks to a goal by the former Augsburg player Marco Richter (40th).
For the Berlin team of coach Pal Dardai it was the fourth game in a row without a win, nothing came of the jump into midfield. Augsburg remains one point less than Hertha, but one week after the surprise victory against Munich they were also thievingly happy about the physical away counter in the fight to stay in class in front of 14,523 spectators in the Olympic Stadium.
Pantovic hits from the center circle: VfL Bochum beats SC Freiburg
Thanks to a dream goal by Milos Pantovic, VfL Bochum defeated SC Freiburg and thus spoiled the anniversary of SC coach Christian Streich. Pantovic scored in the 82nd minute from the center circle to the frenetically acclaimed 2: 1 (0: 0) success of the newcomer in Streich’s 300th game as a Freiburg coach in the Bundesliga. SC goalkeeper Mark Flekken had rushed far out of his goal when the decisive goal was conceded. Before the scene of the day, Sebastian Polter (54th) had equalized the Freiburg lead from Philipp Lienhart (51st). Already in the 2-0 win against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on November 6th, Pantovic had hit from huge distances.
With 16 points now, the Bochumers are still in the middle of the table. Freiburg, on the other hand, had to accept its third league defeat in a row after its outstanding start to the season. With 22 counters, however, the SCF is still fully within the target.
