What do you need to know about the start of the season on FIFA 22?
Before the start of the first online competitions on the football simulation game for our two players from AS Monaco Esports, Mino and RayZiaah, focus on the various upcoming deadlines.
Good luck ! We are not going to lie to each other, the competitions on FIFA 22, it’s about as easy to understand as the ATP ranking in tennis, or the Olympic Games qualifying in volleyball. That is to say: impossible. That’s why we decided to explain to you as best we can, what awaits our two representatives of the luxury roster of AS Monaco Esports, Mino and RayZiaah, this season.
What formats?
Before any choice, you should know that this year, EA Sports, the “parent company” of the football simulation game, has decided to split the season on FIFA 22 into two distinct formats:
- The classic 1v1 competition (two players face-to-face), the ultimate goal of which is to participate in the Football World Cup in 2022.
- The new 2v2 format (two players together VS two other players), which aims to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup.
Note that these two competitions are contested with teams trained on FUT, FIFA Ultimate Team, by Mino and RayZiaah.

What methods of qualification?
Concretely, to participate in the two โWorld Cupsโ, you have to be one of the best players on the planet over the season. For this, there are different stages of qualification to pass, to earn points, throughout the year. As is the case in tennis for example, to gain access to the Masters, a competition bringing together the ten best players in the world over the past season.
- From this weekend (November 27 and 28), our two FIFA players will start their journey in 1v1, by playing the first of four #FUTCup, the FUT Division Rivals. Objective: accumulate points to the Global Series. The next step being the Football Global Series Qualifiers, then the FGS Play-offs, which will give access to the famous World Cup, for 32 of the 128 best players in the world.
Our two ๐ดโช๏ธ are ranked among the best Season 1 players in their region in the FUT Division Rivals mode ๐ฅ

- Then they will continue with the new 2v2 format, with the Open Global Series (first stage from December 8 to 12). This competition, which is divided into 16 regions (AS Monaco Esports depends on Western Europe), is a first qualifying stage for the TOTY Cup: Team of the Year Cup. With a significant reward, since the team that wins this competition which brings together 32 teams, will qualify directly for the FIFAe Club World Cup. Otherwise, there will be one step left, namely the TOTS Cup (Team of the Season Cup), to hope to win your ticket for the FIFA 22 World Cup.
But alsoโฆ
Mino and RayZiaah will not only compete in these two different paintings. They will also try to win eLigue 1, “Regional competition”, which in case of victory, can also give access to the World Cup. Hence the interest in winning this championship, the equivalent of Ligue 1 in reality, that Mino has already added to his list in 2020. Finally, they will also participate in the Champions League, the virtual pendant of the Champions League.
It is an honor to lead these two high quality players, who are highly recognized on the FIFA scene. They have a track record and a name that makes them eligible for the biggest rewards. So set the bar very high.

What objectives?
As we are certainly losing you, we invite you to take stock of the โtargetsโ of the season for AS Monaco Esports, with the coach of our 5-star roster, Imad Mihoubi. You will see, when we talk about titles, it is immediately easier to capture.
On the Mino-RayZiaah duo …
It is first and foremost an honor to lead these two high-quality players, who are highly recognized on the FIFA scene. They have a track record and a name that makes them eligible for the biggest rewards. So set the bar very high. Mino is vice-champion of France last year and won the title in 2020. And RayZiaah is twice vice-champion of France in eLigue 1 on Xbox.
OMG this but !!!! ??@RayZiaaH win the second match with a golden goal, go win the last ๐ฒ๐จ๐ pic.twitter.com/gdq4TwoTPh

I observe their matches a lot and I analyze each time what is going and what is not. RayZiaah is more of a possession player than Mino for example, so it’s important to communicate to know who is doing what. Complementarity in 2v2 is really fundamental.

On the targeted competitions …
The objective is to appear well everywhere and to qualify in particular for the Play-offs at the Global Series, to claim to have at least one representative of AS Monaco at the FIFA World Cup. And to participate in the TOTY in 2V2 in January. But we also want to win eLigue 1โฆ So in summary we are very ambitious! To be champion of France with the Diagonale is clearly one of my dreams.
On the importance of complementarity …
Whether in 2v2 or 1v1, players can bring a lot to each other, including mental support. I am obviously there to prepare them as well as possible, we talk to each other a lot to progress on certain aspects, for example at the tactical level. I observe their matches a lot and I analyze each time what is going and what is not. RayZiaah is more of a possession player than Mino for example, so it’s important to communicate to know who is doing what. Complementarity in 2v2 is really fundamental. Then you have to give only strength and positive mental energy to your partner to move forward, this is very important.

On the ambition of AS Monaco Esportsโฆ
The Club has really made every effort to seek the best performances. The players know that and they feel really valued about it. They came to Stade Louis-II several times, they met the players at the Performance Center, took part in the Stad’Inside show on Twitch. They live AS Monaco, and that’s the most important. We really have this common ambition to be one of the most competitive teams on the FIFA scene and to make the Club shine.
