The world has received an important signal from the US administration regarding Ukraine – Oksana Markarova
Commenting on the statement of US President Joe Biden, which made public on the White House website, in memory of the Holodomor, Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova on her official Facebook page noted:
“Once again about an important signal from the US administration regarding Ukraine:
This statement is a continuation of a large number of bilateral meetings and telephone talks, a full-fledged visit of the President of Ukraine to the United States, a meeting of presidents in Glasgow, 4 meetings of Minister Dmytro Kulebi and Secretary Blinken, many other high-level delegations. All this shows a new qualitative level of strategic friendship between our countries and the fact that Ukraine is in the focus of US attention. “
In Joe Biden’s statement, the United States reaffirms its commitment to the people of Ukraine and its unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States also noted that the last time the President of the United States personally made a statement on this issue was in 2009. Then there was a statement from President Barack Obama. Then in 2010 there was a statement from the spokesman of the National Security Council, in the following years and until 2016 they were announced by the White House press service, and then in 2018 there was a mention in the general statement of the US President to the Day of Victims of Communism.
