The Černý Most Shopping Center is within walking distance of the metro and the busy bus station. Although the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Health have said in recent days that a new vaccination center has opened here after the weekend without registration, they did not experience the onslaught on Monday morning.
“Don’t you know if they’re giving a third dose here without an order?” The older woman’s reporter, accompanied by her husband, asks in a slightly familiar voice. “They’re giving such stupid information on that 1221 line!” He complains. But when she sees that the vaccination site is practically without a queue, it lifts her spirits.
That the vaccination center is still undiscovered by crowds of people, he immediately lets the sitting elderly lady know by phone. “You wanted to know where you could be vaccinated without registration. We ended up in Černý Most and there are about five people here, “says the woman. I add that it took her a while to find it. The place is located one floor higher than the rest of the shops, around the corner of the multiplex cinema.
A patient Asian couple comes to see the lady. After a while, however, it turns out that they just want to get out of the center to the parking lot and they thought it was a queue to the exit. Thus, seniors predominate among those arriving for vaccination, in principle those interested in the third dose.
“We were in the Vinohrady hospital and they told us to come here,” describes senior Karel, who, accompanied by his partners, is already resting after the vaccination and watching the people coming. “We waited a few minutes,” he praises.
“We also have an order-to-order mode, the non-ordering mode will take place at the hospital in Černý Most,” said Petr Arenberger, director of the Faculty Hospital in Královské Vinohrady, adding that Monday was specific by vaccinating Pfizer in the morning and Moderna in the afternoon. people will be able to choose.
Another pair of seniors – Karel Stýbl and his wife embark on a debate with the young man who received the first dose and his friend who accompanies him.
“I have three doses. How many of you? ”Karel Stýbl asks the standing young man, who reacts that none. “Half the republic is vaccinated and see how infected they are,” the young man defended.
Rest on his seat after his first friend, I add: “Look, if I get it anyway, don’t wish it!” He described to the reporter that the winter had forced him. “I’m waiting an hour for the bus, and now I can’t even have coffee that winter,” he explains the peculiar reason why he decided to vaccinate.
Medical workers who have been vaccinated are needed at the beds
On Monday, another vaccination center was opened in the center of Pilsen, in the former Prior department store. “It was in operation for the first time on Monday and there have been queues since the morning. People were already waiting before the opener, “describes Eva Mertlová, a spokeswoman for the Pilsen region.
The center is again for people without registration, the spokesman himself advises those who are not in a hurry to get vaccinated, so that they prefer to use vaccination places for registered people, where they will not have to wait in line.
The large-capacity center is not going to reopen in the Pilsen region. “We had the original in the school premises and it is still open, the space is returning to the secondary vocational school,” says Eva Mertlová.
They plan to open a new vaccination center in other regions as well. According to spokeswoman Magdalena Fraňková, the Ústí nad Labem region will reopen the center in Podbořany and a new vaccination center in Louny. “We do not plan to open a large-capacity center, simply because it would be difficult to staff,” the spokesman explains. Paramedics are now needed for beds, and at the same time the region is counting on greater involvement of general practitioners.
An increase in capacity was not expected in Olomouc last week, but the region will discuss it again on Monday. “It’s not easy. It is necessary to equip the center with staff, which is currently missing everywhere, “says the regional vaccination coordinator Jarmila Kohoutová, who has a similar problem as they have in the Ústí nad Labem region.
Capacities are planned to increase in the South Moravian Region, where several new vaccination centers should be established. Governor Jan Grolich (KDU-ČSL) has announced in the past that the priority place where it will be necessary to strengthen vaccination capacities is Znojmo.
The center is expected to open in a fortnight, although it was originally expected to be operational as early as December 6. The University Hospital Brno, which will ensure the operation of the center, does not have time to technically equip the place until then. “We have to create all the computer technology, provide networks and programs,” said hospital spokeswoman Veronika Plachá. Paramedics will work there to inoculate up to 300 people a day.
Renewal of large-capacity centers? It is already being solved in Prague
The CEO of Bestsport and the head of the O2 arena, Seznam správ, has confirmed that he is already in contact with the government regarding the reopening of the Prague large-capacity center at the O2 universe. Last week, he said that no one in the government had addressed him yet.
However, for example, spokeswoman Jitka Zinke, from the Central Military Hospital, which previously operated the center, does not yet have any information that discussions will begin again.
So far, the Brno University Hospital is not counting on the reopening of the large-capacity center at the Brno Exhibition Grounds. “We would have to vaccinate six people a day to make sense. We doubt that we will fill this capacity. If Brno is increasing its existing capacity, then the center at the Exhibition Grounds is not needed, ”explains spokeswoman Veronika Plachá.
No new large-capacity center will open in the Zlín Region either. List of reports This was confirmed by the region’s spokeswoman Soňa Ličková. “Interest in vaccines has increased in recent weeks, even among practitioners. The trend went up, at the moment it is rather stagnant. The existing capacity is sufficient, “she added. At the same time, she pointed out that the region has great support in vaccination in general practitioners.
The situation is similar in the Moravian-Silesian Region, where no new centers will be opened yet. “We have a dense network of vaccination sites. The existing capacities are sufficient, “said regional spokeswoman Nikola Birklenová. Because when it comes to interest, they increase vaccination sites when it is possible to come for the vaccine.
