Toulouse you believed at the start of the match
Toulouse believed in it. But not for very long. The Spacer’s managed to cast doubt on Tours VB, current championship leaders, and still undefeated before the meeting, by winning the first set of the game. Carried by a well-resilient Daniel Cagliari at the start of the match (10 pts in the first set), Toulouse took the advantage after a disputed round (26-28, 0-1). But from the change of sides, the TVB assumed its status as leader of League A and favorite, and gradually gained strength. A second round concluded with a point from the former Rennes driver Toledo, who came into play, the Touraineers really whistled the end of the break.
The people of Toulouse could not see the enormous shape of the Touraine compressor. Impregnable, the TVB relied on its medical joker, Kamil Baranek. The Czech attacking receiver again delivering a very good game (22 points). With well-felt attacks and spectacular counter-winners (5 in total in the match), he made the Toulouse bend, however voluntary and united. First in a third round which once again saw Pierre Toledo, the man of the end of sets, conclude, then in a fourth and final expeditious set, where the TVB left nothing to his opponent (25-16 ).
