The Danish government wants bandages and increased use of corona passports
The case is being updated.
The government thus follows the health authority’s recommendation and will on Thursday seek support from the Folketing’s epidemic committee to introduce the restrictions.
– We need to introduce an extension of the use of corona passes and bandages because experts deem it necessary. This is another epidemic we now have. The delta variant is far more contagious, and that challenges us. That is why we need to use these tools, said Minister of Health Magnus Heunicke on Wednesday.
The use of bandages on public transport and in shops, as well as the presentation of a valid corona passport at, among other places, government workplaces, public transport and higher education institutions are some of the measures proposed by the government.
They also recommend that a negative corona test should have a shorter validity. The fastest can be valid for 48 hours and a PCR test for 72.
The limit for the number of participants in indoor and outdoor events with corona passes can also be halved. The limit is currently 200 indoors and 2,000 outdoors.
Corona infection is increasing in all regions in Denmark. In the last 24 hours, 4,426 cases of infection have been registered, but which is 82 fewer cases than the infection record from 18 December last year.
