Munich (dpa / lby) – At the start of the tightened corona rules in Bavaria, new corona infections remain at a high level. According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the seven-day incidence on Wednesday (as of 3.12 a.m.) was 644.3 – slightly less than the day before. The RKI reported 644.9 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week for the Free State. A week ago it was 618.8. The number of new infections in Bavaria was currently 15,609.
The highest numbers were reported by the Freyung-Grafenau district (1512.3), which, according to the RKI, was in second place nationwide after the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains region. Bavarian hotspots were also the districts of Rosenheim, Rottal-Inn, Mühldorf am Inn, Berchtesgadener Land, Dingolfing-Landau, Traunstein and the city of Rosenheim. Here the seven-day incidence exceeded the 1000 mark. Regions with such high values have had stricter rules than in the rest of Bavaria since Wednesday.
According to the State Office for Health and Food Safety (LGL), the hospitalization incidence reached a value of 9.6 (as of November 23, 8 a.m.). It indicates how many corona patients per 100,000 inhabitants came to the hospital within a week. The day before, this value was 8.7. According to the Divi intensive care register, 294 of the 3190 intensive care beds in Bavaria were free on Wednesday morning (as of 7.15 a.m.). 975 people received intensive medical treatment for Covid-19, 515 of whom are intensively ventilated worldwide.
