Whoever provided Merah with a weapon goes back to prison for three months
Return to cell for Fettah Malki, the childhood friend of Mohamed Merah. The one who served his ten-year sentence for having provided a submachine gun to the “scooter killer” was sentenced Monday to three months in prison for the Toulouse Criminal Court, and directly imprisoned at the
Seysses remand center, for having violated his house arrest.
The police had arrested him on the evening of Tuesday, November 16 in Izards while he was visiting his relatives.
Deportation procedure to Algeria
Fettah Malki, 39, was released from prison in August. Being of Algerian origin, the Interior Ministry requested his expulsion this summer. But his lawyers are contesting the procedure before the administrative court, hence his passage through the Cornebarrieu detention center and then his house arrest.
In 2020, the Special Assize Court of Paris sentenced on appeal Abdelkader Merah, the terrorist’s brother, to thirty years of criminal imprisonment for his complicity in the killings in Toulouse and Montauban. She did not retain the association of terrorist criminals against Fettah Malki, who has always denied having knowledge of his friend’s murderous plans.
