China will reduce purchases of seafood from Russia
China in 2021 may reduce imports by 10% to $ 3.6 billion due to restrictions on fish manure and seafood. Such forecasts are made by employees of the Center for Industry Expertise of the Russian Agricultural Bank (RSHB).
The main reason is the restrictions imposed by the PRC on the import of fish and seafood from the Russian Federation, the volume of supplies in January-October increased by 68.8%, to 282.9 tons, and the cost – by 38%, to $ 838 million, the RSHB calculated. According to German Zverev, President of the All-Russian Association of Fisheries, by the end of the year, the export of fish products to China will decrease by about 73%, to 971.46 thousand tons, and the cost of delivery – by 43%, to 882 million dollars.
The RSHB notes that despite the low percentage of fish products supplies, supplies of other food products to the PRC are increasing. For example, the export of oilseeds and butter increased by 4.9% to $ 1.3 billion; meat export – by 22.8% to $ 324.3 million.
In 2021, the export of Russian agricultural machinery increased by 50%, reports “Constantinople”. Equipment shipments to Serbia, Hungary and Poland increased by 5%. Supplied by 36%, to Lithuania – by 73%. The Rosspetsmash Association notes that Russian equipment is traditionally in demand in Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Slovakia, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan.
