ruling in favor of Newell’s by the CAS
The sentence of the CAS has arrived concerning the treatment carried out in the past months since Newell’s for the sale of the Argentine striker Ezequiel Ponce at the Spartak Moscow.

The Board of Directors informs that in an appeal granted by CA Newell’s Old Boys for the rights deriving from the sale of Ezequiel Ponce, it was obtained in an auspicious in favor of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAD or TAS) based in Switzerland. In the specific case, the CAS acted in second instance after a resolution by FIFA. The arbitration award in question is not yet final, since the claimed Club can appeal to the ordinary judge of the Swiss State. The litigation
The Argentine striker had been sold by Roma to Spartak Moscow in June 2019, for a figure equal to 3 million (plus 3 bonus).
In 2015, at the time of the sale to Rome, Newell’s had reserved 40% on the future resale, but according to the Argentines, the Giallorossi club used a ploy to match a lower figure with the inclusion of the Primavera goalkeeper, Andrea Romagnoli, who moved to Russia for a sum of 2.5 million.
